Music Program
Band Information
Band 1 for beginners: Grades 4 - 8
Instruction on the following instruments is available:
- Flute
- Saxophone
- Clarinet
- Trumpet
- Trombone
- Percussion
All Band 1 rehearsals will be after school in the auditorium. Members will start just with classes until November when all instruments will be combined into a full band. At this point, like all instruments, members will continue with sectionals which will be held on a rotating basis.
Band 1 and 2 will perform in 2 concerts per year, January and June.
Band 2 is for returning members who have been playing their instruments at least 1 year. All Band 2 rehearsals and sectionals will take place in the auditorium. Rehearsals will take place on Thursdays after school with sectionals following. Please see schedule above.
Recorder lessons are available to anyone in grades K - 3. Lessons are weekly for 30 minutes and are held in the auditorium. 6:30pm. The recorder classes perform in two concerts per year,
Holy Trinity School has 2 choirs, Junior Choir open to grades 1 to 4, and Youth Choir open to grades 5 - 8. These groups focus on learning all aspects of music performed at Mass including various hymns and responses. Both Choirs are responsible for providing music at many of the school Masses The choirs will rehearse once a week during school. There is no charge to participate except a $2.00 fee to cover the cost of purchasing a 3 ring binder and page protectors. Choir Robes are provided and are kept at Blessed Sacrament Church; each child is sized and assigned a robe for the year.
